Feasting on the Bounty...
I must admit that without my garden we would not have had many veggies over the last two weeks. With paying for school and coming off of a vacation we have been short some funds for groceries. God is good and we have eaten well off the garden and out of the freezer. I have posted some things already this summer and you can find them here...

Pasta Salad
Zucchini Fritters
thought I had put that Zucchini Lasagna up but I guess I did not. I need to do that post...

Here are some lovely things we have enjoyed... and when you are done here you can head over to Andrea's Recipes for many more posts about Growing Your Own!!! :)

Breakfast - an omelet

Lunch - Tomato, Jalapeno Pizza

Amazing veggies + Pizza = LOVE!!!!!

Dinner - A Shepherd's Pie with added homegrown carrots

I chopped the carrots after washing thoroughly and sauteed them. I added some onion and garlic and then the thawed peas.

Dessert - A Lovely Peach Cobbler

Peaches from our trees with sugar to form the juice you see here.

Melted butter in bottom of cooking crock

Mixing a batter made with 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 2 tsp. baking powder and a pinch of salt - DO NOT STIR just pour it in and leave it alone.

Pouring batter into butter...

Spoon the fruit into the bowl next and resist the urge to stir anything. It will turn out beautifully without any stirring... You will see...

Ready for the oven now... Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown on top - about 30-45 minutes.

The crust grows over the top and you have the perfect cobbler with little effort.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!

This only needs one more thing...

One scoop of vanilla ice cream and it is ready!!!

Your pizza looks so colorful with the fresh tomatoes and the jalapeno. And I can predict that my husband will want a peach cobbler after seeing yours! :-)

Thanks for contributing to Grow Your Own!

Leann,
I am hungry now after looking at all this wonderful food. I can't wait to try the cobbler. My mom has a peach tree but they're not ripe now. It takes a little longer to ripen in the north. The Milk chocolate/caramel tart looks sooo yummy. I don't know if I'm brave enough to try but I think my husband would love it.
